I have realised something with a mixture of delight and absolute disgust ( call it green eyed monster with a slug of indecision slopped in for good measure). Whilst we cannot afford the house we want in an area we are remotely interested in living in Sydney.........
We can afford this.In France.Cruel right??
A while ago we joined this property website. It was a moment of delusion and yet, people do it all the time. So not crazy-it just depends how brave (yes I call moving schools, languages and embracing the certainty of a period of no income brave) you are and how much you want to spend your one and only go on this planet actually living the way you want to live.
So.
We joined.
But they keep sending us these.....these.....dream houses.I know thats what we signed up for but honestly its doing us in.I think given the lack of choice here we might have to become one of those families who just do it.Life is too short.
If you could move anywhere-or if you have just packed up and moved to your dream location........where did you choose/where would you go and what would it take to make the decision?
I would love to know!!
I think I would have to be a widow, because Mr Golightly would never leave his beloved Northern Beaches, but I would kill to live in Rome (but I wouldn't kill him!) - and all it would take is: no husband, and, because he has nice healthy life insurance, no mortgage. So maybe I would kill him. Maybe.

A little closer to home Lulu is the Prettydog Vineyard (not so much vineyard anymore) and my good friends Isabella Golightly & Mr G can & will vouch for the peaceful tranquility of this space so call me....you will not be disappointed XXX
(as the country kid said to the city slicker)

Oh I would definately go to the Bahamas!! My dream for a few years now! Haven't been able to convince my husband yet......... That French house is VERY nice. Where is it? Be careful not to dive before finding out exact location . You could find yourself in the middle of nowhere! And if France is your destination, learn the language BEFORE. French speak only French as the English speak only English. Personal experience speaking here.

Wow, what a beautiful house. I would love to live in France, although it's not something I've felt the need to seriously consider yet. I think it would have to feel right for me, yet I know that there would always be reasons not to go too. My uncle and auntie have just bought a renovation in France and I'm enjoying watching their progress with a green tint to my eyes, but looking forwards to visiting too! x
