Thats the plan.Remember way back when I made this quilt and gushed about the softness and warmth an how the small males around here had requested nightwear? I didn't quite get around to it.Naughty me.
The weather around here has been warming up and it suddenly hit me like all great " oh crap I never got the (insert your good intention here) done and its nearly too late" moment so I went on a pattern hunt.
After my grandmother died, as with all deaths, afterwards the sorting began. In amongst the bags of yarn and bits and bobs, I was handed a box of sewing patterns. I shoved them all in the cupboard thinking there was nothing in there for me to use.Silly me.Tucked in there with all the seventies girlie and batwing sleeved womens patterns, was a very simple robe pattern.
Just what the gentlemen of the house had in mind.So I played "must make the pieces fit because you do not have enough fabric you twit".And I won.Finding enough Katie Jump Rope leftover from Henrys quilt I was indeed able to make him a robe.It makes a lovely lining and gives the robe a little weight which goes perfectly with the flannel. If nothing else it will save my cardigan collection which have become the early morning child warmers.Plus he looks snazzy.Ashleigh calls him Hugh.I assure you there is not a bunny to be seen.
Dont forget to pop leave a comment in the previous post if you would like to win the fabulous crafting magazine with my Henrietta doll pattern inside-I will send it proudly to wherever you live!!
Ok....so on to Olivers robe now....
xxxx
It's a beautiful robe ! That's on my list, too, maybe I should look for a pattern before it gets cold here in the North side !
