For the longest time now I have planned to sell some of my patterns but the questions!!
Which ones to start with?
Do I want to risk people passing the completed friend off as their own ( I have seen this recently online from the pattern of a well know doll maker and it pisses me off)(and yes it was clearly the same )
Would people want them in PDF or hard copy or an option??
Now its been nearly two years since I first thought I should sell the patterns instead of the actual soft friend soooooo , I pulled my finger out and got some done.MIRACLE!!!!!
I thought I would start with my lovely giraffes but a simpler version so a beginner can enjoy making them aswell.
I have also nearly finished the instructions for my owl and my sausage dog with jacket.
Does that sound like a good start? If you were to choose one would you like it to arrive in the post or would you want to print it out for yourself (Some will be about 8 pages)??
Let me know how you would like them and I will do my best(promise!!) to get them online next week.
Do you know this is all coming to you on my brand new birthday present ? Just in the nick of time too as my macbook keeled over and blacked out on monday and tuesday I had a birthday and got a flashy new friend to play with. I love flashy new friends.Particularly flashy new friends with lots of memory and big shiny screens and design software ready to play.
Oh how I love thee shall I count the ways.....
Just a little word of warning-do make sure your computer is backed up people because when it really tips you over the edge and behaves in a terminal fashion one too many times.....
you may be inclined to hit it...hard
while saying very bad words that ladies should never say ....
lets be honest-when your life is trapped inside a rectangular heap of tin and that heap of tin behaves very very inconsiderately.....
there are no ladies. Not one.I would have made the truckies blush.Wince even.
So BACK UP YOUR COMPUTERS JUST INCASE THEY ARE NAUGHTY AND MUST BE PUNISHED!!!!!!!!!
Ok back to the snowboarding.
xxxx
Fab idea and personally would be best as PDF file to print as easy for people in other countries :) could you offer both options ? I shall be watching for the owl. Pattern as I had to make some as part of a craft project on school and could have done with it then :)

hmm I think PDF's are fantastic. I love that usually you get them really quickly.
I don't know what to say about people passing of your designs as their own. I don't suppose there's much you can do about it once its out there. It really irks me when I see that happen too. I'm rather jealous of your new computer :)

Great idea! I can't decide on PDF or mail.... Hmm- they both have advantages. Kendall says the giraffe and I like the long doggie with the jacket- Henry's dog, is that the same one? I love this idea- it would be fun! PS- I was looking through photos on your site (to see the animals again) and I am so inspired to paint my house bright colors now or at least all bright white with pops of color everywhere!

Just wondering if you could please tell me where you got the skull and cross bone fabric from that you used on the pirate bunnies? It's cute and not too scary for the little ones!
Thanks (can't wait for the patterns)
