Today was-deep breath-our last day at school.Ta Da we did it.Seven weeks of summer holidays will dull the inevitable nerves until we put on a new uniform and walk in a different gate.Til then.
Today was also a little excursion for kindy(Olivers class) and some parents tagged along.'Where The WIld Things Are' was the entertainment and it was absolutely fantastic.Go and see it!!!!!!!!!
I sat there amongst a bunch of six year olds and we laughed and squealed and yelped and cried. The tears were sad and happy tears. Jonze has done a wonderful job and after hearing about all the hiccups they had ,from friends working on it, it was great to see it up there wild and wonderful on the big screen.
Its moments like this that make me wonder why I stayed home to raise our babies when I could have been playing larger than life dressups with adults who never lost the excitement and limitless possibilities of a childs imagination.
I don't wonder for more than a moment its ok,but I really hope I am encouraging my children to hold on tight to the magic inside their head that lets us create such a world.
xxxx
We're off to see it tomorrow afternoon.
Be strong and know that with our help our children will flourish, whatever their school surroundings.

I really wanted to take the kids to this but my husband thought they would be scared, I'm going to insist and take them now.

I am so looking forward to seeing this. I don't think I have looked forward to a movie so much in a long time so I am glad to hear such a fabulous review.
Enjoy the rest of the school holidays.
