I am a lucky girl.Lovely husband, great children, good family, cute house and we're all healthy.Sometimes though,I am really really lucky.Like when husband buys tickets for the four of us to go here
and we go inside the Tapis Rouge tent where there are waiters with trays of champagne and delicious food and we lounge on velvet sofas and the children are brought cute lunch-boxes full of goodies just for them(so that they leave the adult yummies alone?) and given gifts and we get to sit right down the front in the centre and be entertained in the most fabulous way and then back to the tent at intermission for gorgeous sweet treats and yep, more champagne. If you have not seen Dralion do try!!!
Every time they come this is our treat to ourselves, but this year husband thought the boys were old enough to lavish it up as well.Eyes popped and jaws were on the ground for the entire experience.Mine too!
It was absolutely illegal to take photos so I'm sorry but I did not want to risk becoming part of the performance!
Before we left home, instead of pacing the hallway(which I was beginning to do-ready early, you know how it goes),I pulled out my
Cath swatch bag.Diminishing somewhat, I had a sudden urge to make a pot holder.I'm sorry....did I say "urge to make a pot holder"???
Somehow yes, and boy was it quick, except for the hand sewing which I did when we were back home and I was watching men in tights cycle up very steep mountains while enthusiasts tried to scare the living daylights out of them by jumping out and waving flags. For encouragement I'm sure!
Anyway,I think it might actually be a multi tasking swatch as it looks just fine holding my teapot. This bugs me because if I'd thought about it, it would have been round. But there we go.It killed time perfectly and gave me something pretty to look at.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend x
