A baking marathon that had me remembering the 3am icing sessions of little kids parties past. Why do we do these things to ourselves!Mind you,I know the answer. They are the squeals of rapturous delight. From the grown ups and the small fry.
Pumkin cookies, sour worms and a freak your pants off skull.Perfect.
and of course a batch of these-Monsters for little monsters.A bit of a tradition sending these to school.I have no photo of todays but they stay the same.As usual the mummies are my favourite.
It was teachers day aswell today so the boys wanted to take goodies. Its traditional to take your teacher an apple. So they did.
My favourite : )
All sweetly packaged in a little gift bag.
Don't worry-they had a little box of sugary sweet treats in there aswell.
Big day coming up people!! Mathildas Market on Sunday for all you Sydney lovelies.I am sharing with this lady and between us we will have goodies galore.Pop your head in and say high if you can-we are down on the left side against the wall as you enter the hall.
I will have Lulu Dolls
Pirate Bunnies -boys + girls
Little Red Riding Hood Capes-big billowing hoods, red linen and lined in satin
If there is anything you are hoping to see and its not on that list let me know asap and I'll do my best to have it there for you on Sunday.
Its frustrating enough that I cannot shop here. Its crueler still that in a few days they will open a store in Londons West End.Add insult to injury by refusing to ship to my side of the planet.Ok.I can cope. But then forge a liscensing deal with Nathalie Lete and sell these. While my hands are tied behind my back?Thats just torture.I bet there are rugs too.Excuse me while I go and sob in a corner.
Door knobs. There are also cherries. How divine!!
Plates.Would I put food on them....remember the excitement you felt as a child when you discovered a magical scene beneath your meal?Yes I'd use them for food. But it would be pretty food!Oh no- I'm torn.I think I would buy the entire collection and cover my wall with them.A little wall of magic.
Hello there.I'm tinkering away at a more frantic pace now.Panic you ask?Oh yes indeed.Mild terror even.
These are some little stocking fillers I had made from a couple of my simple drawings.Pocket mirrors.Cute right?Crap photo though my apologies.Bad lighting and a finger smudge do not a pretty picture make!
My tree.Waiting for more paint and to be adorned with mobiles for Mathildas.
Flowers in my kitchen.Fake goodness in there as well.Oliver is trying to grow lettuce and rhubarb from cuttings.Lets see.........
Hello lovely patient bored readers.Forgive me for I have been neglectful. But you were warned : )) I hope everyone's been well and happy and busy.
This is a teaser. My sister thinks she looks mean.I must admit to loving them without the face and hair.It all came from seeing The September Issue weeks ago.My heart fluttered like a wild thing as I watched all those issues of American Vogue ( I cannot tell you how many issues I had dating back to the 80's-a large cull was required a few years ago so some lucky collector has a magazine library!) and saw the designers doing their thing. It took me right back to my design days and my passion for Chanel and Gaultier and Vivien. After that I just didn't feel like making sweet little girls.I wanted to make stylish big girls.
I really like her actually.
They are my dressup dolls ( actually you are not allowed to touch them but wow they look gorgeous on a shelf!).I did chicken out of leaving them bald and blank but I do think I'll go back to it.Perhaps some of each.
